Dr. Steele’s formal training continued with post-graduate education at Overlook Hospital’s family medicine internship program, an affiliate of Columbia University, and a family medicine residency at Albany Medical Center. Upon completion of residency, she furthered her training with a postgraduate family medicine program at Tel Aviv University, Sackler Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Steele practiced family and occupational medicine in the suburbs of Philadelphia for 4 years and subsequently served for 4 years as the Director of Occupational Health at Elkins Park Hospital, Nazareth Hospital and Einstein Medical Center LiveWell respectively.
Dr. Steele is a Certified Medical Review Officer. She is certified in Aesthetic Medicine and medical laser use. Dr. Steele is a USCIS Designated Civil Surgeon.
Dr. Steele is active in many organizations: American Academy of Family Physicians, Kansas Academy of Family Physicians, and served as the President of the Philadelphia Academy of Family Physicians. She was the Young Physician Delegate from Pennsylvania to the American Medical Association for 5 years. She serves on the Board of the Philadelphia County Medical Society and is a delegate to the Pennsylvania Medical Society, on their behalf. Dr. Steele was a mentor in the e-Mentoring Program that she founded, an online mentoring program for medical students at Drexel University College of Medicine, and also served as a mentor for the American Medical Women’s Association, Women’s Mentoring Program at Drexel University 2001 – 2007
Dr. Steele is active in her community and served on the steering committee of the Young Friends of the Jewish Film Festival. She is a devoted mom and her favorite hobby is dance.
